I completed my course! TEFL is Teaching English as a Foreign Language. It is geared toward English teachers who are teaching in non-English speaking countries. I also was certified for Teaching Business English, and Teaching Young Learners. Our hope is that this will be an asset to our ministry. I have volunteered in English classes in the past, and there are plenty of opportunities in Atlanta to gain experience as well.
Aaron was able to attend a Gospel Coaching workshop as well, to be trained in discipling men into deeper relationship with Christ. We are looking forward to further training as well- Aaron is enrolling in a Tropical Agriculture class for January, and I'll be taking a Medical Missionary Intensive training sometime in the spring. We are continuing to pray that the Lord will utilize every moment that we are here, to better equip us for His service one day soon!
We Praise God for His provision and blessing on our lives here in Atlanta. We have been blessed by our church family here, and our church family in Montana. We are grateful that when our days don't go smoothly and according to our plans, we can trust that they are indeed going according to His plans- and nothing could be better than that!! Enjoy a blessed Sunday...

Are you armed??
Our nieces and nephews celebrate 3 birthdays in the summer, and we missed them during our move, so we spent an evening celebrating them at an "Unbirthday" party! Uncle Aaron made each of them their own special armor...
...the kids loved their swords and shields.
When they picked up their armor they were bold- look at their expressions! They fiercely wielded their swords and fought off sibling attackers with their shields!
It was a good reminder for us that we can be just as bold as the kids were when we put on the Armor of God. No fear, No anxiety, No worries. I admit that I don't achieve this on most days- but when I am in His word daily, quiet before God, listening for Him to speak, praising His Holy name, submitting my requests to Him, keeping a repentant heart, walking by His strength... I too feel bold, fierce, and ready to accept His call on my life. Please pray with us that we continue to grow and that God will further develop this boldness!
As we 'press-in' and increase our training and preparation, we feel the spiritual battle that is taking place. We are fully engaged. These lessons are challenging, but we are thankful to be in the comfort of our familiar culture with loved ones around us. Support is huge as we learn, 'cuz the learning process is not comfortable!
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day... Ephesians 6:10-13

Happy Birthday!
For Jesse's 12th birthday, we had a family cake and ice cream party, went to Dave and Buster's to eat lunch and play games, and went to the racetrack. We all enjoyed ourselves and celebrating Jesse!
His gift from his Uncle, Aunt and Cousins was a family pack of tickets to a local racetrack. We spent all afternoon and night there, enjoying the sounds, smells and 'south' of the Lanier Motor Speedway.
...they even sold fried bologna sandwiches at the concession stand! (we didn't buy any)
When it turned dark, the announcer called all of the kids out front to board the Big Cheese... Homeschoolers don't get to ride the bus, and this was no ordinary schoolbus! A tricked out exhaust system, some sort of hydraulic package, and twinkle lights made this a bus ride they won't forget!

Love One Another
"For you are all sons of light and
sons of day. We are not of night nor of darkness. So then let us not
sleep as others do, but let us be alert and sober." 1 Thessalonians 5:5
We, as Christians are to be characterized by light and walking forward boldly in His light. I am so thankful for the Holy Spirit and the power we receive through Him. The blood of Jesus Christ and God's sovereignty empowers us to go against the flow and persevere through trials. But it's hard.
Recently we heard some sad news from home. Since we have moved, we've struggled at being apart from our church family. When my dear friend delivered her baby and I was thousands of miles away, I was so sad. Now when dear friends face 'trials of many kinds' it is hard to not be present to lend a hand, see into the eyes of a hurting friend and give hugs as needed...
I am thankful that the Lord reminded me of the closeness we share through our kinship in Christ... Not that I wouldn't jump at the opportunity to hold and smell and love on that sweet newborn baby girl and her family- but I am so thankful to serve a God who binds His children together through a love that is stronger than any other... His Love for us.
Live in peace with one another. Admonish the unruly. Encourage the fainthearted. Help the weak. Be patient with everyone. Seek after that which is good for one another and for all people. Rejoice always. Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks. Do not quench the spirit. 1 Thess. 5:14
Just as Paul's confidence was in the very nature of God- so should our confidence be- in the nature and character and Truth of God. No matter what. Let's live in the light, in peace together, because that's what we've been called to do.
